on friday, my sister and i ducked out of work early to meet at the greenmarket in union square. we picked and chose and carried bags full of plants back to cait’s apartment. and just like that, we made a secret little garden, five floors up.
so necessary when you live in a big city! I crave little bits of greenery. Now if only I could train my green thumb (which is null and void right now – thank god for succulents!)
Gorgeous! I've been playing with my little urban garden and learning what works and what doesn't. Just last weekend I added a Burgundy Rubber Plant to our shaded outdoor area. This looks like a fun project!

it's going to be great … love your snaps. i feel like spring is passing me by, but can always find new blooms at the farmer's market.
I don't know the name of the ones in the second image but I have those and every year they come back and are absolutely beautiful. š
This is inspiring, need to add some touches around my house.
there's something lovely and ironic about fire escape gardens. adore this one you created with your sis!
What lovely photos! So beautiful. š
