my week in objects (mostly).

July 3, 2009
five little things that made my week.

1. long walks in the evening with james.us
{because shadows with two are lots more fun than shadows with one}.

2. heirloom eggplants.eggplant
{because they are so delicious and so, so cute. i realize i think my food is cute a lot. i can’t help it, it is}.

3. watermelonwatermelon
{because james managed to get it open using a pair of scissors. also, because it had seeds. if you are buying a watermelon this weekend, please, buy one with seeds and have a seed spitting contest. you will not regret it}.

4. four wheels.sunflowerfield
{because they let us cruise through the countryside, snapping photos of sunflower fields as we zoomed by}.

5. sparkly rainbow candles.candles.JPG
{because}.

what little something made your week?

This has to be my favorite week in objects, and I love them all, the shadows, the watermelon and then sparkly rainbow candles!!! Just gorgeous.

A big gooey covered in frosting cinnamon roll from the local fair made my week, tasted like summer.

What a beautiful week! I love the shadows. So cute!

Donairs (Gyros) with Don, water balloon fights on Canada Day, and morning bike rides made my week.

A sunny Canada Day, rabbits, discovering a new, delicious wine and Swiss cheese made my week. Happy weekend!

yeah! I love your Friday post! seems like they come up faster and faster…
adore the shadow and the sparkly candles. iowa blue skies, campgrounds at dusk, my new Jackson Hole, WY sticker on the back of my car – just to remind me of some good times with family.

i know! we went on a picnic. and "we" forgot to bring a knife. luckily science-boy had a pair of scissors in the car. i force myself not to think about where those scissors might have been prior to becoming watermelon cutters!

what a nice week. i am now craving watermelon and eggplant!

yesterday i missed my ferry from sausalito to san francisco and had to wait 1 1/2 hours for the next. i ended up finding the most lovely spot on the water to relax, look out, and enjoy a bottle of anchor steam beer (all by my lonesome). ahhhh… good week.
