my week in objects (mostly).

August 28, 2009
five little things that made my week.

1. this color gray.gray
{because i used it to repaint two little tables and it was just the shade i was hoping for}.

2. these desk legs.desk
{because they were the perfect options for our office loft. and thank you to deva-dev for bringing them to me}.

3. this brown-paper cover.phonebook
{because covering books in brown paper bags used to be one of my favorite back-to-school activities, and covering this phone book has made it just so much more pretty}.

4. this rack.coatrack
{because having a place to hang your hat (as it were) is just so convenient}.

5. these toothbrushes.toothbrushes
{because two means that james is home. enfin}.

what little something made your week?

Aw! I totally forgot all about covering books in high school. Love it! And the toothbrushes (is that a word? haha if so it's ugly!) are adorable 🙂

Would you be willing to share the name/brand of your grey with us? It's fabulous and greys can be so tricky.

That gray is beautiful! I am so happy for you that James is home. I hate when Don is away. Our week was made by spending time with good friends, making yummy lemon bars and having a family reading hour every night now that the kiddos are back in school. I hope your weekend is perfect. xoxo

    Hi Erin,

I'm a school friend of Laura and Devan's and I peek in at your blog from time to time after I check out Dev's. I remember you posting about Frye boots at some point and wanted to let you know that Target is selling an excellent imitation at a fraction of the price! I just bought a pair myself, and wanted to pass the find along! Here's a link:

I know what you mean about the toothbrushes. Isn't it nice when they are home? I like your phone book–good idea.

    What made my week?
Selling my first pieces of pottery, making orangettes that were a big hit, and a nice long breakfast with Chris this morning (I ordered banana walnut pancakes).

Post to come on the orangettes…
