five little things that made my week.
1. these crinkly leaves. and lots of others, too.
{because i got to crunch my way through them all week}.
2. these fluffy eggs.
{because a hearty breakfast was just what i needed on an early morning}.
3. this hot cocoa.
{because look at all of the whipped cream. and because it was had over breakfast with a friend. and friends are very nice to have}.
4. this cheery heart.
{because it was just the kind of message i needed to see on a grumpy day}.
5. colorful and other-worldy cauliflower.
{because it means that the winter farmer’s market is open. and because it is just so damn beautiful}.

I have a pile of leaves just like that where I live, though I step very carefully around them…maybe I'm a strange one! 🙂
Such lovely lovely moments there…
i love colorful cauliflower too and that hot chocolate looks heavenly. mmmm.
lots of good textures going on there. happy sunday!
I love how leaves scoot themselves in piles like that. And that hot cocoa made me smile it looked so good!
hooray for purple & orange cauliflower. so beautiful & rich in nutrients!
wishing you a happy week 🙂
all of these are lovely. and those eggs and that hot chocolate look irresistible!
Loving crunchy leaves too and that cocoa looks massively indulgent….I'm gonna have to make one now. Happy new week! xoxo
I love the heart on the sidewalk, and that it made you happy:)
have an awesome week! xo
I had this post "starred" in my Reader and I went back and looked at it a few times since you've posted it. So lovely.
Your cocoa looks divine!
My week was made by the loaf of Wild Flour Bread fougasse that Chris and I shared while seated at the long table in the bakery with a view of the oven in which the bread was baked.
3. this hot cocoa.
Mmm this looks really good… :-p
The cream on that cocoa looks delish. There's a cafe in Beacon Hill with a hot white chocolate drink…it has more cream on top than drink inside, and it's lovely 🙂
I just discovered your blog and I feel like I have met an old friend!
My expressions were priceless as look through your photos and comments and see so much of myself – so many things we both enjoy, as do your other readers – it is so wonderful to find a kindred spirit!
I don't usually post or follow blogs, but you are now permanently on my daily list of 'to do' and I love my lists!!
Happy day and thank you for brightening mine!
thanks for the sweet note, wendy. kindred spirits are always welcome around here!
This picture of the purple, green and yellow cauliflower inspired me to make this:

I couldn't find purple but the bright yellow made the dish so beautiful.
