    I know that I'm a relative newcomer to New England because I didn't know what these were for! (I grew up in the southwest.) I wonder if we have any around Boston? I'll keep my eyes open.

    it's still pretty at least because you have history and the old buildings and decorations look nice, right?
    we have those around here in some of the older buildings near the river – such an interesting design element

    I've lived in RI all my life and have been in Providence more times than I could count…but I never noticed the boot scrapers!…neat!
