where to begin? so much has happened in the past few weeks that i’ve been away that i hardly know where to start. but start i will, with a list:
1) james defended his master’s in north carolina. he got lots of hugs. probably not enough.
3) there was more sound editing for this new little project than i care to remember.
4) there were final plans made for a 2 week residency in ireland. i leave early june. squeal.
5) and more plans secured for a summer to be spent on the farm and in the city. i. can’t. wait.
6) there was a street installation
7) an outdoor film screening
8) a cupcake (or two)
9) mother’s day
10) and pizza on the grill to celebrate the end of my first year of grad school
phew.
but enough about me, what’s been happening in your world? i’m full to brimming with excitement about this summer, mostly because i’m hoping it will mean i get to spend a little bit more time in this space and visiting with all of you! what are your summer plans? does it feel more like summer where you are than it does here?

Congratulations to you and James. Sounds like all sorts of wonderful things were happening.
Ireland sounds magnificent.
Looking forward to days at the beach and evenings in the backyard with the firepit, marshmallows, and a dinner from the grill.
Lovely list! I've never been to Ireland, envious of your upcoming summer.
It's getting into winter here, cold, rainy days. At least I get to use my umbrella 🙂
So exciting that you'll be in my homeland! Where??!
good to see you back. and stone barns?! i love that place. i love blue hill too – amazing food and the owner is a nut. ask him about the foie gras story.
jealous you'll be on a farm! and in my fave city ever!
xo
you've been so productive! way to go. and yay for some much deserved rest and for ireland, too.
new blog title for me (remember 'cherchant d'un hamac'?), plus lots of knitting, bees, and basking in the green glory of what is FINALLY our own yard.
Yay. You're back. I was beginning to wonder…
I quit my job, so there's that. I'm excited about the summer and the possibility of travel to see friends and family who I never get to see.
I'm also excited about possibily meeting you in real life. Sitting, and sharing wine and laughs.
Yay.
Also. Where in Ireland?!
Congrats, love this list! And your blog for that matter. 🙂

Wow, you have been busy. Ireland–wonderful!
I was just outside and it is sunny, but there is still quite a chill in the air. Honestly, it's never really "summer" in San Francisco. If we are very lucky, some years we get a day or two of summer.
Oh, do tell, what residency in Ireland? I'd love to know! A big congrats- sounds like you've been insanely busy and it will be a marvelous, well-deserved adventure!
