my week in objects (mostly).

November 14, 2010

some weeks, there’s only time for one post. but if there has to be just one, i’m glad when it’s this one.

five little things that made my week.

1. these gloves.
gloves {because they were found again on short visit home. they sat on my nightstand growing up. too pretty to put away, too precious to wear. thinking of what to do with them now}.

2. this book.
interviews {because i’ve been doing an awful lot of interviews lately, and it’s nice to read a few by the experts before drifting off to sleep}.

3. this tree.
tree {because soon it will be bare, but for now it’s making the whole house glow}.

4. this toothpaste.
toms {because new tubes of toothpaste, like snow not yet walked in and ice cream not yet scooped are some of my favorite things. unsure about whether this reveals some kind of deep psychosis. hoping no}.

5. this bunch of pineapple sage and rosemary.
pineapplesage{because its simple presence made me forget the cobwebs and set to work on things that really matter. like schoolwork}.

what about you? what little something made your week?

    That tree!!! Gorgeous!

I am happy enjoying the weather, turning cold for the season! I have tomorrow off work and hope to make it to the woods for a walk before it snows!!

i'm with you on the new tubes of toothpaste & the fresh snow sans footprints. the toothpaste tube is just never the same once it starts getting squeezed, all the paste goes to weird areas and it just doesn't sit right on the counter anymore! the love of fresh snow is obvious though i think, it's so pristine and perfect. gorgeous.

oh, that tree is amazing! I bet it really does make the house glow! so pretty.

and I love new toothpaste tubes and unscooped containers of ice cream, too! that's why when I was eating my Ben & Jerry's the other day, I smoothed down the top before putting it back in the freezer. haha. I had to make it look perfect again!
