my week in objects (mostly).

January 28, 2011

five little things that made my week.

1. this frost.frost {because it looks like there should be a troop of kids sledding on it. no}?

2. this magazine.
uppercase {because thanks to a friend, i finally got to hold a copy in my hands. and read it. cover to cover}.

3. this maple syrup.
syrup {because sisters give the best gifts and because i think i might have to tote this little guy to restaurants. you know, just in case they don’t have the real deal. this may also indicate that i’ve reached new levels of snobbery. meh}.

4. this necklace/scarf doodad.
scarf {because i made it. at a night of crafting with other womenfolk. kind of rad}.

5. this planner.
planner{because this week school starts again and as you can see, the to-do list is already long. i need something to keep myself straight}.

what little something made your week?

Very nice, the little syrup bottle. What really made my week was the earrings and a vase I bought for my siste-in-law and a friend. They loved the presents which made me very happy šŸ™‚

anon.: it's actually an ecosystem planner…100% post-consumer recycled paper and 100% made in the USA. not bad, even if it is purple…

I love the feel of your blog…it's just so pretty. Something small from my week are two small totes that I sewed for my 2 nephews…they like to keep their stones and gems in them. It made them so happy. Enjoy your weekend!

Snobbery? Not at all. Sensible and healthful? Yes, completely. Reminds me of dear sweet practical Ethel, who always brought her own wee jar of Vermont's finest to our mornings at the diner–and then offered it 'round to other folks who'd forgotten to bring their own. Priceless!

Yay for syrup snobbery! My dad makes maple syrup every year, and it's so hard to try the fake stuff after the real thing.

I love that you made that…it made me smile to think of a crafting night! I want one of those, too. And your frosting photo is so gorgeous, I actually thought it was a blanket on first glance. Beautiful.

We had frosting like that on our windows this morning. It's one of the things I like best about winter. There is something so magical about the patterns it makes.
