my week in objects (mostly).

March 11, 2011

five little things that made my week.

1. this iris.iris {because it was taken directly out of a bunch of irises purchased by a friend and given to me. now that’s the spirit}.

2. this milkshake.
"milkshake" {because the addition of a banana and peanut butter make it feel almost saintly}.

3. this book of feminist fairy tales.
tatterhood {because i have to tell a story for one of my classes and this little volume proved as good at 26 as it was when i was 10. creases to prove it}.

4. these other branches.
more {because really, you can’t have too many}.

5. this sweet almond oil.
sweet almond oil {move over moisturizer. this nectar from the gods wins many times over}.

what about you? what little something made your week?

My mom swears by the sweet almond oil–it smells delicious! I love the branches, too. I have to keep rotating mine around the apartment!

    Have a delightful weekend, sweetie!

Excellent week – everything looks great. I want a peanut butter and banana milkshake and some sweet almond oil and…

I'd say all of my warm cups of homemade masala chai have made my week.

I love peanut butter banana milkshakes!! I make them with some chocolate syrup and protein powder. Great one to start the day.
    Your photos are lovely!

I'm intrigued by this almond oil. My skin isn't anything to write home about, so perhaps this is just the ticket!

    have a great weekend!

Yeah, there are times when I favor oil over lotion moisturizers. It always feels like I'm pampering myself more.

Great collection of objects.. especially that book. I have the same, but mine are a couple of romance novels from when I was in my teens that I just can't get rid of.

    Have a beautiful weekend!

The iris took my breath away…such delicate beauty. As usual, delighted by your Friday pics.

taylor: i've been using the sweet almond oil as an all-over body moisturizer, but not on my face! not sure how that would work!
