my week in objects (mostly).

November 9, 2012

five little things that made my week.

1. this applesauce.
applesauce {for keeping me warm during a snowstorm}.

2. this snowy mum.
mum {for sticking it out}.

3. these curtains.
lacecurtains {because they’re making me change my mind about lace}.

4. this carbon copy.
carboncopy {because my sister cait got the other copy. i’m a sucker for snail mail. especially from mildred}.

5. these snapshots.
cousins {because they’re of my cousins. in brooklyn. 1910-ish}.

other things:
hurricane stories here and here.
these boots.
this {for big girls}.
these tears.
cute socks for manfriends.
and in case you missed it, hurricane relief.

the steam escaping from the apple sauce makes my insides melt, around this time last year I would be cuddled up by the log fire with a bowl of the same stuff. Beautiful post!

Beautiful week in objects. The snapshots are fantastic. They look like fun kids. I'm evolving on lace myself. My wife recently bought a dress with just the right kind and amount of tasteful lace.

I love your weekly objects section!
I don't mean to be a smart ass by any means, but under number 5 you said "my cousins". Are you saying the kids in the pictures are your cousins?!

Yes! They're cousins, several generations removed! One's actually a great, great aunt, and the others are her cousins. Therefore, cousins o' mine, too!

I love snail mail too. I wish more people still wrote letters. They're much more fun to get and more personal than e-mails and text messages.
