five little things that made my week.
1. this blueberry toast.
{because butter + jam.}
2. these sweet slippers from rennae.
{because, gah!}
3. this journal.
{for making me write just one line a day.}
4. this broken seat.
{which decidedly didn’t make my week, but finding a replacement seat did.}
5. james’s iphone.
{and the hawaiian pandora station that lulls faye to sleep every single time.}
other things:
quick pickles. on repeat.
dangling digital carrots.
i need this reminder.
mother’s mother.
tiny house swoon.
working outside.
from the archive:
whiskey + peaches.

Are you thinking about building a tiny house?? Me too! They are so dreamy.
wish! first we'd need some land…
have you done the one line a day journal before? i'm curious to try as i've never stuck to a "real" journal, try as i might.
oh and those booties! get out of town with those!
have a wonderful weekend!
no! i'm usually terrible at keeping a journal, but this makes it so much easier!
Those slippers are so sweet!
aren't they? can't get enough!
Those booties! Gah indeed!
I have a similar 5 year journal that I have been using to chronicle about my daughter's adventures, growth etc. I love it! I hope to give it to her someday.
those slippers are way too cute!
Finally – a line-a-day journal that isn't an eyesore! I need one! ā„
I started journals recently for each of my nieces/nephews. I wish I had started them when they were a lot younger. But I wanted them to know how much I love them and things about watching them grow up….be it funny, sad or a WOWZA!
For instance, my youngest niece is 4 years old and recently cut her hair on one side from mid elbow to her chin! YIKES!!! now she isn't one of those girly girls..she loves dirt/rocks/her brother trucks/cars etc. Her new haircut makes her look like a mini-me as I had that same haircut when I was younger…although it wasn't because I cut my long hair but that I cried every time my Mom would brush it lol.
So that is what I wrote that in her journal about her haircut. I am hoping that when I am long and gone that they will look back on these journals a my gift of love to them.
Cutie booties! š
