five little things that made my week:
1. these roses.
{because i treated myself. (ps. refer two friends and get a bouquet just for you.)}
2. this notebook.
{and the week for giving me the perfect reason for putting it to use.}
3. these frozen blueberries.
{and the ridiculously cute way they stain faye’s lips (…cheeks, fingers, scalp!?).}
4. these little wire end caps.
{because we did a little home improving this week. more soon!}
5. this robe.
{because i swear it feels like every week requires a recalibration of our morning routine. this week, it included early showers and an hour of work post-shower, pre-dressing. #werkit.}
other things:
a real shaker chair.
we made these last weekend.
woolies.
baby balaclava!
spotted in a café this week and sleuthed!
i’ve been eyeing this all winter. might be just right for early spring.
laughed so hard i snorted.
yours for the night.
advice from old books.
“see potential, then sand like a madwoman.”
me in other places:
small-space bloggerinas.
“famous” micro-apartments.
ps. the march (!) newsletter is dropping on sunday. are you ready?

I love these posts and what simple things you choose to feature. Beautiful photography as always, and a fun list of random. I have an very old book called "Reduce Old Waistlines for New" and the advice and illustrations are HILARIOUS. It is one hundred, not five hundred years old, but still classic. Thanks for introducing me to the Ask the Past website. I'm looking through it now!
Ha! So good, hunh?
Yes! (Can't lie: it's because they remind me of the boxed variety from my childhood!)
Yay! I'm so glad you did! Nothing quite like a kind voice from "anon"!
I love that mirror from that link "sand like a madwoman"! It's beautiful! If and when I can afford to move to a bigger place, I want a mirror like that.
Me too!
All of the above! But lately they've been a little treat for Faye who's teething! Soothing on those tender gums!
I have never posted on a blog but I love yours. I always keep an eye out for these week in objects posts. You've inspired me to think more carefully about what I buy and to do more with less in my home.

Those brownies are the VERY BEST!

Love brownies! Will have to make some this weekend to stay extra warm.
The frozen blueberries- do you eat them as is just as a snack or do you bake them, smoothie them, etc?

Those brownies look AMAZING. I might have to try making those this weekend or next…link much appreciated! Re: the joco cup, have you seen these glass KeepCups? I have one and I absolutely adore it; there's something so clean-looking about it, and it seems like it would match up nicely with (what seems to be!) your aesthetic, too. I debated between the Joco cup and the KeepCup for a while, but – for me – I found the Joco cup more awkward to hold. (ps: I love your blog lots, though this is one of the only times I've commented.)
Thank you Erin! Another great my week in objects (mostly!) Laurence xo
Belatedly: Thanks! It was a very sweet gift from India! So glad you're looking forward to the book!
What a fantastic notebook! It's so beautiful I would want to write in it everyday.
Love the journal! Where did you get it? I also completely agree with anonymous comment above "You've inspired me to think more carefully about what I buy and to do more with less in my home."
Would love to hear more about the book!!
