benjamin moore natura: a giveaway

September 17, 2015

benjamin moore natura closet redux | reading my tea leaves You didn’t think I’d forgotten about you, did you? That in the midst of me reveling in the bright warm white of our freshly gussied up closet, that I’d neglected to spread the love? No, no.

In the spirit of sharing, a giveaway. While I was sprucing up our closet-turned-nursery-nook with a fresh coat of paint and a little touch of color, Benjamin Moore was preparing to give someone else a chance to put their zero-VOC Natura to good use.

One lucky Reading My Tea Leaves reader* will have the chance to win five gallons of Benjamin Moore’s Natura Paint in the colors of their choosing! Five gallons is a lot gallons. I could probably paint this apartment over five times with that many gallons. Start dreaming big, friends.

Hi Erin, great post šŸ™‚ My name is Katherine and I can be contacted at my gmail tag, kbjones1430. I recently got engaged to my boyfriend of five years who is an Albanian living overseas. I bought us a house here in the U.S. (my first house ever, I'm 25!) and I am in the process of painting the whole place. There were smokers in the house before me, so top to bottom clean and painting are in order. Loving your blog. Cheers!

My husband and I recently got married and have been living together for over a year now. We are hoping to start a family sometime in the next year, and in the interest if saving money and sanity, decided not to move out of our tiny apartment when our lease ended. It is pretty cute even if it is one bedroom. It could be made so much better with some subtle new color on the wall! ļæ½ļæ½

Benjamin Moore is the best.paint. and best color selection. We've used a lot of paint recently on our new studio, a converted barn. About to do an addition of a laundry and bathroom on our house which we bought last year so would love to use the paint for this!

I so need this! I just switched my sewing studio into our dark gray walled guest room and I desperately need to paint the walls a lighter color to see my work better.
And I have a bathroom with colored paint swatches on it from 3 years ago that I didn't finish because I got pregnant and have been too busy since.

Got married, got pregnant, bought a dog, and bought a house all in the last half of 2013. We also painted the bedrooms with zero-VOC paint that year (yes while pregnant). It would be great to finally finish the rest of the house. Thank you for introducing me to Benjamin Moore's Natura. Pandawedding2013 at gmail

We would then turn my current office into a baby landing place, so we are going to be doing a lot of painting!

We bought a house a few months ago and all the walls were either poo brown, navy blue, or a gross yellow beige. While I'm almost done with the first floor and second floor (using the Natura line!), I still need to repaint the basement. This would so help the reno budget to not have to buy yet more paint.

Hi Erin, thanks so much for sharing this project! I'm a huge fan of your outlook on design, but also necessity. Everyone I know teases me for being such a minimalist, but my mom was an interior decorator, so I grew up in a household of of so many colors and just STUFF (metallic pink bathroom with zebra print accessories anyone?). Anywho, I love that this tiny closet made such a big transformation in your space. My boyfriend and I recently moved into a duplex house in Seattle and he's become transfixed with improving the space (it's an older home, it's just in need of some love) and we've been running to our local hardware store every few days for more sandpaper, more brushes, more stain, more paint. And paint can be dreadfully expensive! We would love to use this paint to improve the look and feel of our small duplex here in Seattle. If I win (I never do!) you can email me at [email protected] or on Instagram (you can follow along on our projects so far!) https://instagram.com/morgandenno/.
    Thanks again Erin!

Even though we're about to remodel our kitchen and will be painting the walls a different color, if I won, I'd more than likely let my daughter have the paint. She and her family moved into a new-to-them home back in January, and so far have only been able to have the main rooms and my granddaughter's room repainted. The previous owner's taste ran to shades of mustard, ketchup and burnt orange, while my daughter's leans toward cool grays and greens.

They are expecting a baby boy in December, so it would be wonderful to be able to repaint the nursery in such a beautiful no-VOC paint, as well as painting the master bedroom and bath in colors that they will love.

I would definitely need to pick a color for the hallway (nine months and counting). I've been searching for the perfect pale blue-gray and had just put your stencil color on the list for the next round of test swatches. Five gallons is enough I might have to pick a color for the living room, too!

  • Reply findinglagom September 18, 2015 at 5:42 am

We just spent the past 8 (!!) years finishing our basement – doing all the work ourselves due to financial constraints and it's FINALLY done despite a few finishing touches – namely, paint! It's a fairly large space, so 5 gallons should just about do the trick. I love the white color you chose, and think I would do something similar, maybe with a couple accents walls in a complimentary shade. You can reach me at [email protected].

I'm a 70 year old who impulsively bought her first house two years ago. And it's not just any house, but one built in 1885 (rare in California), 2 tall stories high, alongside the mighty Sacramento River with endless fix-it projects inside and out. It's a huge preservation & restoration job that will take me the last few decades of my life. Much has been done, much remains to tackle. I really love this place and its history.

My next job is to paint the kitchen – starting with the glossy yellowed cabinets. Winning five gallons of Sherwin Williams Natura paint would be a dream come true.
