sun_catcher_reading_my_tea_leaves_IMG_2278{because i told you i was glad to find a spot for those light catchers.}

2. these freesia. freesia_reading_my_tea_leaves_IMG_2294

{because they were anniversary flowers for james.}

3. these boots.boots_reading_my_tea_leaves_IMG_2299

{because they’re hand-me-downs upon hand-me-downs and faye’s favorite thing to wear this week.}

4. these lilies. lilies_reading_my_tea_leaves_IMG_2285

{because they were anniversary flowers for me.}

5. this little roll of magic.stitch_witch_reading_my_tea_leaves_IMG_2306

{because life without a sewing machine (or skills) doesn’t have to mean messy hems all the time.}

other things:

the sound of bravado.

not just as a president, but also as a feminist.”

i might need a pasta maker.

woman or female?

every night this week. (we all needed it).

    Re pasta maker: I have had good luck just rolling the pasta out (using a wine bottle as rolling pin)! Doesn’t get as thin, but good enough for egg noodles. I like to mix in some fresh herbs or lemon peel and pepper in mine.

      Oh, I’m sure! There’s a workaround for everything! Don’t those noodles look delicious?

    That little roll of magic looks like something that could change my life. Thank you!

    Surprised Faye’s broom guitar didn’t make the cut! I had a good giggle watching that video.

      Ha! That makes a nightly appearance around here.

    I LOVED “the sound of bravado.” Thanks for sharing.

    I think it should be the “first woman presidential candidate”. To say “female presidential candidate” would insinuate that the term “presidential candidate” is masculine. If Hillary Clinton gets elected, you mostly likely won’t hear them refer to Bill as the “first male first lady”.

    But, I honestly don’t know. I am a scientist, not a linguist. Just my two cents given from a strictly analytical point of view.

    I love hand-me-downs upon hand-me-downs. I’m using cloth diapers that were hand-me-downs from my sister. Her four kids used them, and now my third child is using them. And when I look at the frayed edges I think, seven kids! Amazing!

    Take care with those pretty glass thingies in the window – this local news story has stayed with me: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-31594956

      Ha. Not a worry: there’s only about five minutes worth of direct sun/sparkles every morning!

    What kind of rain boots does Faye wear? I’m searching for a pair (for my own little one) and those look just right!

      She has a pair of many many times handed down boots from cousin’s cousins. I think they called la crosse, but they’re from the 90s.
