five little things that made my week.
1. this page. {and countless others like it. all bundled neatly into a binder to help me come up with something of my own to say}.
2. this kettle. {for being so trusty all week long}.
3. these little presents.
{sent by blog friends. little somethings for me tucked into packages of things i bought for others. thank you}.
4. these mittens on a string.
{for keeping me warm on the two occasions i left my house all week. that is not an exaggeration}.
5. this little garland.
{and the time i took last night to finally spruce up our tree, just a little bit. more photos later in better light}.
what little something made your week?

I'm wondering what you're reading in the first picture? The highlighted phrases seem vaguely familiar (like a tidbit I encountered while studying cultural anthropology). Thank.
I too really like the "my week in objects" theme for Fridays. It's been a perfect week for staying in ~ cold and blustery in many places. Have a wonderful weekend. Cheers~
My kettle has been my best friend this week!
Have a lovely weekend, dear!
All good things. I really like that little gift tag. My week was made extra special with our new duvet cover, fresh from the warm dryer. It's very cozy.
You do have such a clever eye for detail. I love your 'my week in objects' posts. I need to polish my kettle too!
I love reading your week in objects posts so much that I started the tradition on my own blog. I hope you don't mind!
I really love this post!
hi,
i clicked onto this site randomly from the link on the Cupcakes & Cashmere blog, and was immediately quite intrigued with the image at the top of this post because i've been reading a lot of books on museum theory for one of the papers i'm doing at uni this year. and because you didn't give an author/title (but the words looked familiar), i clicked on the 'about' page of your blog to see if it'd give me some more information. you're doing public humanities at brown!! i'm graduating uni this year and almost applied, but the idea of the US entrance exams etc while doing my finals was too much to think about, so i'm going to try do it next year. public humanities at brown is THE course i want to do!!
(and i'd quite like a blog. you have it all!)
