five little things that made my week.
1. this little paper tree.
{because it was left behind by a visiting grammy.}
2. these bits of color.
{destined for tiny presents for tiny people.}
3. this popcorn string.
{for still being mostly intact after several nibbles from a human mouse in this house.}
4. these bags.
{for keeping wintry things organized.}
5. this stack of books.
{cause nothing beats a good seasonal book pile.}
other things:
the best kind of maine souvenir, made pretty.
how to report a bias crime in new york city.
the sturdiest part of its shell.
ps. there’s a newsletter coming later this afternoon with a special treat just for you.

Fox’s Garden is a major favorite at our house:) Happy weekend!
Tote bags on hooks. What a great idea. I like the idea of a light colour so it almost blends in with the wall and looks so tidy. Thanks for the inspiration! I’m in major need of a way to wrangle our mitts and toques!
What are you making with the ribbons? They’re so quietly festive.
Fairy wands, protest sticks, scepters, call them what you will
Oh! Those pillows remind me of a field trip for a class in undergrad where we had to go to Maine and count species in the tidal pools. Too bad they’re sold out!
Might I suggest “Santa Mouse” for your winter books? If you celebrate Christmas, it’s a really sweet one.
Erin, this paper tree is so nice. I would really love to make one… do you have any tips how should I start? Thanks!
The Tomten is my favorite Christmas/holiday book. I grew up (and my parents still live) in an old New England farmhouse with an attached barn and I was always comforted by the idea of a tomten visiting on those quite snowy nights.
I see your Tomten and I approve.
As usual, your end of the week post brought me a lot of joy. Thank you!
The Tomten and The Tomten and the Fox are favorites in our home too.
Tomten! Such a nice little fellow.
And thank you so much for the link to my post — what a delightful surprise.
thanks for the inspirations! I love the popcorn garland
we’ll definitely do one of these :)… Cécile
The tomten is my very favorite children’s book, so sweet to see it here.
Happy winter!!
