This post and giveaway is sponsored by Bridge & Burn, makers of classic apparel for men and women.
To celebrate fall, here’s a chance to take home a few thoughtfully made fall arrivals from Bridge & Burn. I took a walk through Prospect Park to show off a few fall favorites from the Portland, Oregon company and now one lucky winner will take home a $300 gift certificate to spend in any way their heart desires (full details below).
Forever a fan of overalls, I’m especially pleased to be able to show you the latest pair from Bridge & Burn. The slim cut Arlow Charcoal Twill Overalls are made from durable cotton twill, that has a little bit of stretch and a lot of general coziness for fall and winter days.
I’m wearing them here with a button up and clogs, but on the coldest days, I can imagine layering them over some thick scrunchy socks and a cozy sweater. (And not for nothing, but they’d also be just right to slip over a sneaky pair of long johns on wintry walks.)
With the overalls, I’m wearing Bridge & Burn’s Woodrow Olive Donegal button up. I really liked the tailoring on this shirt—the fit felt slim and feminine without being constricting. The deep olive color is flecked with bits of white and the overall look feels warm and rich and perfect for fall.
On my head, a Bridge & Burn x Tsuyumi wide-brim hat in black. Designed in New York by hat designer Tsuyumi Kumazaki, the wide-brim hat is made from the same 100% waxed cotton canvas that Bridge & Burn uses in their jackets. I can see opting out of an umbrella altogether given this beauty.
Next, I tried on the Erie Black. To fend off the wind and rain, the jacket is sewn from waxed British Millerain canvas that will develop its own unique patina over time and with wear.
The Erie is the most fitted of the Bridge & Burn waxed canvas jackets. The mid-thigh length makes it feel substantial without being oversized.
Like all Bridge & Burn jackets, it comes complete with all of the pockets, snaps, and attention to detail that you might hope for in a piece of well-made outerwear.
Underneath that, I’m in the wool-blend Tate Natural Striped Sweater. The sweater is warm, but not bulky and classic, but not tired. It reminded me, in the very best way, of watching high school football games as a teenager.

Yay! What beautiful clothing! Thanks for the opportunity to enter this giveaway.
I love the overalls, and I had to admit: I’m not an overalls kinda girl. But those look comfy without requiring a pitchfork.
Question regarding the sweater: is it itchy? Wool sometimes does a number on this uber-delicate skin of mine.
Thanks!
Amy
It’s a wool blend, so it’s not as itchy as some wool sweaters! I’m wearing it here with just a bra underneath, and I wasn’t bothered by it, but if you’re sensitive to wool, you might need a long-sleeve tee under it!
Thanks, Erin. It’s nice to have the particulars. 🙂
Love those overalls! I’m also drawn to that hat!
Oooh, I love the overalls!
Ooh, that jacket looks perfectly oversized.
I love Bridge & Burn! Thanks, Erin!!
Wow, similar jeans from that vintage shop cost nearly $500?! Since when do vintage items cost 2-3x the price of new ones??
i found mine in the shop and the prices do vary widely, depending on the particulars!
What a smoke show!

Hi Erin, I think you just convinced me to try overalls and I like both looks you have on the pictures…I hope I win :)…Though I think I will purchase either way.
Also…I am traveling to NYC this weekend…Can you please let me know where I SHOULD go in Brooklyn? I was just told that Brooklyn is big!!! Would love a recommendation on where to stop and walk around. Other special area would be good too. Thank you, much!
Beautiful everything, Erin. Day, you, clothes.
I don’t know if you’ve ever done a hair product post but I’d love to know. My current hair routine is to wash it and let it dry. And some days that works out and some days it doesn’t. I’d love to hear your thoughts on some simple hair care.
If I win this contest I’ll be so excited I may pass out!
E- you are such a lovely model! Each item you showcased made me want them all! Thank for the give-a-way!

I would live in those overalls by day and night – so cute! And I love that they’re made in Portland.
So glad you like them! The overalls are designed in Portland, but I believe they’re produced overseas.

Since I started reading your blog, I’ve scored a few great B&B pieces. Some straight from the company and some secondhand! Excited for the chance to maybe nab a few more before it gets really chilly here.
I didn’t know this brand and I just love it so much !! Now I need to check if they delivery in France…
So fun! I am now going to crush on the overalls, bear hug tee shirt and ombre dress, I think htat would make good use of the gift certificate.
I am bummed that those overalls are sold out! They are so cute!
Been spying on B&B for almost a year and everything is so beautiful and looks so well made! I especially loved their Japanese style line earlier this year!
