my week in objects (mostly).

November 9, 2018

five little things that made my week.

1. this laundry

{and being able to bring a mid-week emergency load to my sister’s for washing.}

2. this extra tall tote

{for keeping all of the extra work-related things around here wrangled, especially this time of year.}

3. this small pitcher.

{and two small people who can (mostly) fetch their own water without incident.}

4. these white beeswax candles.

{for getting through dark dinners.}

5. this basket.

{same basket, in a new spot, for stashing curtains come daylight.}

other things:

common sense.

ballet shoes.

this was the life i was living.

year of the woman.

when moms run for office.

never not into these kinds of databases.

(besides avoidance.)

over forty.

mom books.

    Erin, I seem to remember you having some beautiful white taper candle holders. Do you remember where you found them? We need some cheery candlelight!

    I also have a small pitcher like that one! I keep it next to my nightstand to quench for late night thirst. I love the tote and the basket…

    Thanks so much for gathering pretty, useful, inspiring, light-fires-under-our-feet things and stories in one place for the rest of us. I find the phenomenon of blogs so intriguing, in that my favorites (your’s is at the top of my list) have become such an important part of how I connect with the world (and stay connected to things that are important to me, but maybe not be a part of my daily awareness) in my busy teacher schedule. Is that weird? Thanks again.

    Lovely and informative list, as always, thank you Erin. Especially thank you for shining a bright light on those corners that are hidden so often, brown ballet shoes, books about motherhood from WOC….I appreciate your leadership so much. Those shoes, if ever an example of white privilege was needed.
