my week in objects (mostly).

1. these bubbles.

bath bubbles

{because in the season of non-negotiable nightly baths, these bubbles have been serious mood savers.}

2. these cupcakes.

{and the twenty little rosebuds james made for pre-k snack today.}

3. these strawberries.

4. these eye hooks.

{for being in the toolbox.}

5. these streamers.

handlebar streamers

{because here’s hoping the only thing better than a hand-me-down bike for a birthday is a hand-me-down bike with rainbow streamers.}

other things:

what do you do for childcare?

we can’t improve the lot of parents at work if we pretend we aren’t parents.

moms aren’t at war.

most resident and diurnal New Yorkers more or less have had the same dream.

how about dinner and a movie and a bath and a book and sex and rearranging your whole spice drawer if you feel like it?

detox has become a broken word.

good stuff.

a basic understanding that women’s lives matter.

when a white company wears blackface. related!

can you hear me?

    Where did you get such luscious, ripe strawberries? The ones I see in my grocery stores are usually half white, unripe and tasteless.
