Thank you for continuing to post through this. Today I broke down holding my 14 month old through a nap, I’m four months pregnant, and this weekend my parents were supposed to visit from out of state and give my husband and I a much needed break. Needless to say they are unable to visit. Thankfully we all have our health and some semblances of “work” and income. I hope you and yours are well. Off to make my own focaccia and chocolate chip cookies. Small comforts.

I just made focaccia yesterday!! Also I’ve decided to take the plunge and try to make a sourdough starter during this time, it feels like a hopeful thing to do.

Will you please share the source of your clips? My children always use heavy books in precariously tall stacks which tend to crash to the floor and over children (not to mention empty out my bookshelves, and are never put back right).

As far as the marriage article, my husband and I have been married for almost 15 years, and in some ways this extra time together has been positive, although we were already a couple who did almost everything together anyway. But we have also had a couple of ridiculous fights about nothing on the surface, but really about our stress of homeschooling our kids, living in a smaller house with a small yard and many kids and never going anywhere while the death toll climbs across America and we worry about grandparents and parents, financial repercussions for those around us (we are lucky our income and healthcare is still secure in these times, which I know and feel guiltily is not so for many), and going to the store where a third of the shelves were completely empty in a dystopian post-apocalyptic way. It is nice to be reminded that fighting is almost never really about the topic of the fight, and more about underlying issues.
