Re: hair. I gotta say I love the length. I recently chopped off 4-5 inches and it feels amazing. I find good hair oil and some scrunching works wonders when you are embracing the wavy air dry. I also dabble with Bumble and Bumble surf spray. Audrey Coyne has a great hair video (in the last 6 mos I think?) on her YouTube channel. She is very thoughtful and videos are lovely.

The Curly Girl Handbook freed up my hair. You can get most of the info online, but it’s worth supporting an author. Who, I think, cuts hair in NYC.

I’m sure you already know about this, but based on today’s links I think you would like the podcast Maintenance Phase. It’s hosted by Aubrey Gordon (author of “What We Don’t Talk About When We Talk About Fat”) and Michael Hobbes (former HuffPo reporter and cohost of You’re Wrong About). It’s about the wellness industry.

Not sure if you want suggestions for hair styling products, but in case so, I will say I’ve found that having the right product makes a world of difference! I’ve just recently stumbled upon the Innersense Organic company, and really like their products and their business practices. I am *very* low maintenance when it comes to hair, and love that I’ve found something I can apply when it’s wet and do nothing else to it the whole day. I’ve been using their ‘I create volume’ lotion on my already voluminous hair…I was a bit skeptical, but my hair seems to love it!

we love a sea salt spray here in maine. just some hot water, 2 tsp of sea salt (?!) and a squirt of leave in conditioner (?!) and shake it and scrunch your hair. i don’t know the exact measurements but its a popular method in the summer time for that air dried beachy hair.
