five little things that made my week.
1. my calendar.
{because it is helping me to stay sane. don’t let the blank lines on saturday and sunday fool you. many hours of reading will be filling those blank slots}.
2. this gingerbread cookie.
{because it was so very delicious. and made with lots of love}.
3. hot apple cider.
{because now that i’m back in new england, this nectar of the gods is much easier to come by and boy oh boy can i guzzle it}.
4. these pretzels.
{because james brought them up to me during a particularly grueling night of essay reading. and late night snacks are awesome}.
5. these lights.
{because they prove that my week consisted of something beyond fretting about my work-load and snacking at my desk. also, even though there is lots of camera shake, i still like it. beauty in imperfection, right? also, check out my new city. elle est belle, non?}.

hope grad school is going well!
beauty in imperfection, I agree
Your week looks like it was cozy with lots of love. 🙂
i like how everything is in the same tones and the twinkle in the last photo. enjoy your weekend!
O that calendar looks lovely. I'm coveting that for christmast this year.
And you're new city is quite handsome.
Have a great weekend of reading.
I'm a sucker for hot apple cider too. Love the lights pic 🙂
I love your "week in objects" feature the best! That calendar looks beautiful and oh-so-useful. After a relatively schedule-less summer, I've had to take out my red Moleskine planner again.
drink of the gods is right! apple cider is delicious, and unfortunately so hard to come by in California!
Craving the cider from Ikea….its not apple but it sure is delicious. I love the beauty of imperfection. xoxo
This was a good week for you! I like that your calendar is handwritten–long live the pen and pencil! Your gingerbread cookie looks so soft and good. Sometimes camera shake makes an image and it seems to be so in this case.
My favorite object this week was the big bowl of fresh cool orange slices at Indian Springs in Calistoga.
Great post idea!
Yes, a good week. Mine's been so busy I can't really even remember five things that would stand out. Ohh, September.
I love all of the fall flavors in your week! Your apple cider may spawn a few cups this weekend in my household.
So glad you liked the ginger cookies–my faves, too. Best five highlights of my week: Walter Wick, Nina Nelson, Karen Romano Young, Patricia Hermes, and Pegi Deitz Shea. And…oh yeah, Toddies (who rule)…and dinner with L & M…and cherry tomatoes from the Reillys' garden, and train whistles and crickets and the last luscious days of flip-flops, and Circle Beach at sunset…and movie night with Dad…
I love your last photo…..it is perfect!
….so glad school is going well and that you are enjoying your new digs! xo
love these images + snippets of your week. cookies look yum!
those cookies look so yummy!!
I love lists with pictures! Hey, where do you get that calendar book? Please let me know. – [email protected] – That is exactly the kind I have been looking for for months, the week on one page. Btw, I am new to your blog and I am loving it.
late to comment I am but I second MT's question… I love that calendar! 🙂
