five little things that made my week.
1. these slippers.
{and the weather to wear them in.}
2. this can of utensils.
{silas’s absolute favorite thing right now. dump them out, put them in. repeat.}
3. these little candles.
{and a birthday cake to stick them into.}
4. these paintbrushes.
{because i could have done without 5-am wake-ups, but 5 am plus some quiet watercoloring was a-okay.}
5. these woolly things by the door.
{finally time to swap out the sun hats.}
other things:

These white bags are lovely! Where did you get them? Thanks so much! Your blog and book are gems.
they’re little muslin bags from muji!
I was just assessing our entryway and deciding we need to adopt the “each person’s stuff in their own tote bag” approach because “everyone’s stuff in a too-small basket all jumbled together” approach does not improve the morning prep, shockingly. Thanks for the idea. And any time you decide you want to try out quaker-meeting-house-inspired interior design, I will gladly offer up my apartment as a test run ;).
Ha! Will do!
Erin, I just love your blog. *contented sigh*
GAH! Thanks!
Those slippers look like an absolute dream. I’m desperately in need of some cosier ones and they look perfect
It’s an admitted love affair.
They are the best. I’ve had the same pair for about a year and wear them all the time since I work from home. So cozy.
Same! I’ve had my pair for something like 5 or 6 years and they are still my favorite thing all winter long.
Same! Got them last year and absolutely love them.
Side note: My husband thinks Iām the secret ghost writer of your blog because of the many parallels ā like our slight obsession with purposeful jars/clips/bags/beeswax/rearranging, hiding the same exact AC on the same exact week and now matching slippers. Rest assured all the credit goes to you but I do consider his suspicion an honor. š
Really great interview, Erin…where’s the green booth?
Enid’s in greenpoint!
Hi, Erin! Thank you for such an inspiring blog; I read your entries daily and am always so encouraged. I have made the Superhero muffins and they are so yummy. However, I did notice in your link to the recipe, the original blogger omitted the 1 cup of zuchinni. I thought maybe you and your readers who love veggies might want to know this omission. Thank you again for your inspiration to all of us!
I love seeing these snapshots at the end of the week! How do you keep the bags so clean? Mi need to take better care of mine! Thank you for the calming inspirational pictures to start the weekend.
they live inside on these hooks!
Those slippers look so comfy and chic! Serious slipper envy right now as the temperatures drop.
mostly comfy š
currently re-reading ‘their eyes were watching god’ so that paris review link was an absolute delight. xx
so glad!
Where did you get that fabulous rug!
I have those very same slippers! Previously, I was wearing my boot socks around the house (my roommate/cousin and I have pets, so we try not to walk on the floors with our bare feet unless the floors have JUST been cleaned), but now every single pair of my socks have holes in the bottoms, so I bought a pair of these while I was purchasing new pajamas from Lake in Savannah. If you haven’t heard of Lake, I highly recommend them. Their pajamas are 100% Pima cotton. They feel like the softest of clouds against your skin. š
