my week in objects (mostly).

March 15, 2019

1. these tulips like yellowed pages in an old book.

tulips

{in the very best kind of way.}

2. these strings.

strings

{for kind of staying put.}

3. this little mess.

basket

{because sometimes messes are pretty.}

4. this pen.

white pen

{for resurfacing.}

5. this little brass cleat.

{for being just what we needed to keep this new cord in place.}

asymptotic.

how much money means you don’t have to worry?

they put love and respect into action.

even the people i love most are gonna die, and they could die before me. which is just bullshit.

winter morning in the mountains.

i am just your average tool who has slowly learned to accept that her time on this planet is limited.

because tomorrow it won’t be so fresh.

    Thank you, Erin. These links filled a lazy morning in bed (with the kids clamouring with their dad just outside my door), and left me feeling grateful and optimistic. I also read this, and thought it was a nice way to finish things off: https://austinkleon.com/2019/03/09/how-to-be-kind/. Happy weekend!

    (But, I had missed the tweets by Vianna Goodwin. Thank you for this, too.)

    Your photography is just beautiful and so calming to look at. I absolutely love the brass cleat and rope together – such a pretty detail.
