it's so difficult because the situation seems to be getting worse, and although we can donate money, i'm not sure that's exactly what they need right now leaving us feeling helpless.
Erin, I find comfort in Mr. Roger's words. Do you remember him from children's TV? He spoke to children to help them with their fear. He speaks to me still. He says to look for the people doing good. There are many that are helping and we can too. I'm sending my prayers for Japan and for you today too.

My stomach just dropped at the interactive NY Times article. I was wondering if there were any before and after photos and it's even worse than I had imagined.
i saw the ny times article yesterday as well. i was overwhelmed by the damage. i had no idea it was this bad. everyone wants to help out… but i feel as if there is very little we can actually do besides donate money here and there.
