sometimes you stumble upon a publication so full of goodness, that you have to savor it tiny nibble at a time. my friend kathryn lent me her autumn/winter issue of lost in london over the weekend, and there is so much that is good, that i’ve been only slowly making my way through it. editors lucy scott and tina smith have done an expert job of pulling together stories and pictures that report on the efforts of londoners to find a little bit of country right within their city limits. mushroom foraging, bee-keeping, canning, window boxes, music venues, and recipes all find their way into the journal’s eighty-eight pages.
i’ve never been to london. and i’m sure if i went i would want to click my heels down cobblestoned streets and take in all the major sites. but getting this little taste of the simple life in that city, well, it makes me think i’d have to seek out some of that goodness, too. you can get your hands on a copy, here.

A new publication to me…going to go find out more about it.
I've only been inside of an airport in London, but have yet to click my heels along the cobblestone, too.
Wow, I've never heard of this but it looks so lovely and filled with awesome photos! I've never seen London photographed this way, and have only been once but had a different experience…
