james and i went on a walk in woods early this morning. while there were no signs of spring to speak of, there were plenty of wintry things to marvel at: mossy trees, winter berries, an icy pond, and the biggest great blue heron i’ve ever seen {minus the zoom lens to catch a shot of it}. wishing you all a cozy morning, wherever you are.

Stunning! I have to get out of the city soon. These photos make me ache for nature!
you're taking winter walks, i'm taking spring walks. i'm trying to be grateful for what's here, right now…but i can't help feel robbed of a winter.
I forget how I wandered over here…maybe from Char's ramblins but I have to comment on how beautiful you have made RI appear…as another Rhode Islander I will be visiting often…
Really beautiful!! xo
Nothing like a good morning walk – in fact, I am headed out the door for a more urban version of yours, but a lovely way to start the day nonetheless.
