my week in objects (mostly).

May 1, 2009
five little things that made my week.

1. wires.
telephone wires {because even though i know most people think they’re ugly and even though i too would think this photo beautiful without them, still, somehow i just love how they chop it all up}.

2. yellow and green bikes.
 yellowbike greenbike
{because these two guys were parked right across the street from each other. i really had the urge to cut their chains and bring them to the same side so that they could pass the rest of the day in colorful vintage bliss, but i thought that this might fall outside of the realm of normal passerby involvement}.

3. this photo.noisy
{because james finally caught the culprit of all the insane racket outside of our bedroom window. caught on film, not in hands. no animals were harmed in the making of this blog}.

4. le petit ecolier cookies.cookie
{because eating them while lounging on the hammock and muttering to myself in french makes me not so lonesome for france}.

5. confederate jasmine.jasmine (1)
{because it is blooming on the trellis outside of our kitchen window and our whole apartment smells of it. if you’ve ever smelled confederate jasmine you know why this would make a girl’s week (life?) complete}.

what little something made your week?

bikes, frogs, chocolate cookies, a hammock, and jasmine? you win. good week.

me? watching the bulls game last night at a nearby bar that was filled with neighbors hootin’ and hollerin’ straight through the third overtime. that was fun. and then we walked home and it wasn’t cold. 🙂

The second picture makes me want to get a bike so badly…but there’s way too much traffic down here for my taste. Sigh. Some day!

Chocolate cake and yummy cupcakes made my week…I’m easy to please 🙂

love the first photo. reminds me of an exhibit I saw at the Getty a few years back, which I wrote a story on for my college newspaper.

and those cookies are delish! they’re my dad’s fave actually so whenever I see them I think of him.

and the thing that made my week? probably hanging with my bestie for a few hours yesterday. we don’t see each other as often as we like because we are so busy with work, but we have known each other since 3rd grade and will always be bf!
