i meant to post this two weeks ago, but life got in the way. here it is now, a few shots to celebrate my sister’s wedding which took place one year ago, on the summer solstice. and a link to an essay that she wrote about her experiences of being a so-called locavore bride. good food for thought and bellies, too.
Oh, this is exactly how I want my (non-existent) wedding to be!
These photos are fantastic – especially the Wedding Barn! Wow!
What a gorgeous setting to a beautiful wedding! I love the idea of holding a wedding in a barn with the animals and rolling green all around. So cozy and simply elegant.
"for porter or worse." haha, i love it. big congrats to your sister.
agreed with vanessa – in fact i kinda want my (also nonexistent) wedding to be in august so there will be tomatoes and peppers and corn and more!

i can't believe caitlin is married! i always thought she was so uber sophisticated when i was little! she still is it seems!
beautiful pictures… and yes, the setting and sentiment are beautiful. (couldn't open the link to your sister's essay, but it may just be my computer not having the needed acrobat version.)
Now that is absolutely magical in every way, I am so glad you shared it, all of it!
oh, darn it! sorry you couldn't open the link, maria!
oh my!! wish I had my wedding to do all over again. there is so much creativity now. maybe for our 15th or our 20th I'll find me a cool barn too to celebrate!
