my week in objects (mostly).

September 25, 2009
five little things that made my week.
1. this laundry closet light.light.JPG
{because it’s so very sweet}.
2. this clock.clock
{because i can carry it with me and set it on my library table and work, work, work. and somehow keeping time helps me to concentrate}.
3. clean sheets.sheets
{because they always make my week. but this week, especially so}.
4. new red tights.tights
{because they’re so very cheery}.
5. this bowl of apples.apples
{because it is so full and perfect for snacking and baking and fall}.
what little something made your week?

Good stuff! I especially like the top image and the red tights. Oh, and I feel the same about clean sheets.

An object I really appreciated this week was an old book I took off the shelf and photographed for a recent post. It was written in 1909. I found it at a library book sale in Waitsfield, Vermont. Dorothy Dale and Her Chums by Margaret Penrose. It's a beautiful object and I'm happy it is mine.

-Julia (Color Me Green) I find that the low rise tights help with that tight waist issue…

Love it! (I so want red tights…and some blue…green and yellow ones too. What is it about bright coloured tights that make me happy?) Our week was made by finally coming up with a way to simplify our budget and schedule…hoping it all works. Happy weekend, friend! xoxo

glad you guys like! as far as the tights are concerned, i do the same trick i did when i was 8–fold those babies down. i can't stand anything tight around my natural waist…hello, we need to breathe! and so i just fold the tights down around my hips. problem, solved.

i love all the red! the laundry room in our building is being renovated so we went to the one down the street. it's pretty cool at night and they have the best lighting there for looking at new photos. enjoy your weekend!

Love the laundry room light…. And your headboard (even though that was not what technically made your week). 😉

    Have a great weekend,

Looks like a great week! My week was made when I received my recycled sweater hat in the mail by Little Byrd Vintage.

my week was made special by cooking a huge pot of chili and then baking a loaf of zuchinni bread. yum!

i love the simple look of your blog — so simple yet so chock full of content and sweetness and hope and joy!

I love those red tights and the clock. I am the opposite of you, I get stressed if I have a clock infront of me, so I keep mine back and forth…hehe 🙂

    What are you studying?

    All the best!
