stinky mornings.

breakfast, part 2 i realize that some of you are currently debating the mental health of a woman so utterly enamored by her lackluster breakfasts, but i can’t help myself. and besides, i think i might be letting you in on a secret that you don’t know.

i eat stinky cheese for breakfast.

if james and i enjoy a triple-cme after dinner, you can bet your bottom dollar i will be sneaking downstairs in the morning to smear the remainders on a slice of toasty baguette. long before i ever set foot in france, my french godmother would make me stinky tartines for breakfast and i’ve been hooked ever since.

anyone else?

other things:
our favorite stinky cheese shop.
if thinking about tartines has gotten you wanderlusty, head here.

You are not alone, my stinky cheese-for-breakfast-loving fellow blogger. And you'd better believe that I just may throw on some homemade marmalade, should I have some around. Rock on with your stinky cheese self.;)

We've got a cheese shop here in Berkeley called The Cheese Board and it is to-die-for. You'd be right at home.

Love stinky cheese. When I lived in Brooklyn, my roommate and I would go to and request cheese to eat while we walked. For some reason, the idea of "road cheese" (to eat on the road) really amused them. Every time.
