birthday brunch.

November 12, 2012

syrup waffle chardtart plate We celebrated a birthday brunch on Sunday for my James and my mama. There were sweet buckwheat pancakes and a savory chard tart and just the right amount of coffee and cupcakes to finish things off. Birthdays are the best days, especially when they last all week long.

Yum. Yes, totally agree. My husband and I have our birthdays on consecutive days so it means our birthdays become at least a couple of weeks long with meals shared with loved ones. We call it the annual "festival"!

Those waffles look divine. I'm a big fan of birthdays (or anything that gives me a reason to eat cake, really.) x
