make-believe: spring linens and other things.

spring-linens

After yesterday’s post about my sleepless night, I’ve got sleep and bedrooms on my mind. While my nighttime dreams may be lackluster lately, my daydreams have been as active as ever. I’ve been scheming about ways to brighten up our tiny sleeping loft and I’ve got an ideabook in the works about springtime linens and bedroom accessories. If I came into a little extra spending money, I’d change things up by mixing and matching colors and patterns. I might tend toward being somewhat of a neutrals girl, but I don’t want to be boring. Bright yellow checks for spring? Yes, please.

Beautiful picks! I love yellow any time of the year. It's quite hard to pull it off during the freezing weather but it does tend to 'lighten things up.' Pun fully intended šŸ™‚

When we moved, I completely became obsessed with throws. I edited myself a bit and only bought 2 – one white and fuzzy and the other a bright blue plaid for that pop of color.

I always envy people who can throw a bunch of different patterns and colors together and just make it work. Oh well…. one day…

    Good luck with the accessorizing!

I love the lighting in the first image! My hubby and I have been looking for similar lighting to spruce up our new bedroom. For the first time ever, we have a vaulted ceiling to work with!

    Very nice choices!
I love #4, the white cotton throw. We made something very similar here at Brahms Mount, but in linen. I love the nice, clean, white cotton. Very pretty. šŸ™‚

The oldest and softest pillowcases from the thrift store are my love. Bright vintage floras and patterns make our bed so enticing. For being old they are always in sound shape too.

I like these ideas, especially the pillow cases. I need to buy another set of sheets and pillow cases, since I only have one. I'd like to fix up my bedroom, too, especially since my bedroom is also my living room.
