winter warming.

stovetop potpourri | gardenista

If you are someplace cold—and judging from the looks of it, you are—stop what you’re doing right now and put a pot of this on the stove. Rosemary and grapefruit to refresh you, vanilla to make you feel warm and cozy, steaming water to restore some of the moisture to your parchment paper skin. Feeling better already, no?

For the full how-to, see Gardenista.

Other things to make you warm:
Hot cocoa.
Frothy tea.
A yeasty bread.
My favorite wool blankets (trust me on this).
Popovers (and soup).

It's three degrees right now so I could definitely use something like this to warm me up!

I put this combo in a pot on my wood stove this weekend. Made the house smell so fresh and delightful!
