my week in objects (mostly).

May 1, 2015

five little things that made my week.

1. these bubbles.
bubbles {we actually saw them two weeks ago, in central park. but i spotted the photo on my computer this week and it made me smile.}

2. these neighborhood lilacs.
lilacs {and every other delicious smelling blooming thing in the hood.}

3. this water bottle.
klean kanteen {for being pint-sized. not literally.}

4. this new neighborhood cafe.
cafe {god bless free wi-fi and free outlets. bonus for good coffee.}

5. this floor plan.
floor plan {because my dad is helping me make an official one. this is not that one. more soon.}

other things:
feminist podcasts
risk management.
jumping on board. get it?
office-ready wet suits.
long may they run. (and the backstory.)
the truth about “quick and easy.” (via joanna.)
searching for the fountain of youth through the ages.
a cot twin in the cutest garden shed i ever did see.
into the film projection booth.

a good list of charities to consider in support of nepal.

    Hi. I really enjoy your blog and especially your Friday posts. I just wanted to let you know that the use of "sippy" cups may cause speech problems. I used sippy cups with my son when he was a toddler and now wish I hadn't since he has articulation errors that need speech therapy. Speech therapists say straw cups are better. Here are some articles if you are interested:

      Thanks for sharing your experience. We actually typically use a regular glass cup with Faye, but just got this guy to supplement when we're out and about!

    That bubble photograph looks like how I imagine fairies would look during the day. It's very pretty. And I'm so jealous of New York having lilacs. In Montréal I think they're still a few weeks away, and they're my favourite part of spring. Don't they smell happy?

      YES! Wishing you a spring full of them!

    Lilacs! How beautiful. 🙂 My favourite, except maybe sweet peas. I can't wait until they're out here.

    Out and about on our walks around here we are starting to see blooms. Warms my heart. 🙂
