On wrought iron fence posts, roses.
From nowhere, humidity.
In windows, air conditioners.
Stretched over bellies, rash guards.
On little brown feet, starts of tan lines.
On strawberry plants, pale pink.
On noses, sunscreen.
On ankles, bug spray.
In backyards, chainsaws.
Curbside, moving trucks.
From car stereos, bass.
After dinner, ice creams.
Before dinner, ice creams.
On necks, sweaty curls.
Parkside, ice cream trucks.
On the sidewalk, sprinkles.
At bedtime, wide eyes.

Love this.
Yes to those sweet, sweaty toddler curls.
You have captured June perfectly!
On my mind, fruity popsicles.
Slapping my forehead, because of mosquitoes.
P.S. Your posts would work so well as a calendar.
Erin, I love these series and hope to see it turned into a book (a poetry one?) some day.
(You make me feel almost like starting a blog myself, just to see this kind of magic happening!)
So beautiful, and amazing pictures!
I really love these!
The essence of June. I love these pictures. I love seeing the world in bloom again.
XOXO colleen
