strawberry plant | reading my tea leavesOn wrought iron fence posts, roses.

From nowhere, humidity.

In windows, air conditioners.

Stretched over bellies, rash guards.

On little brown feet, starts of tan lines.

On strawberry plants, pale pink.strawberry plant | reading my tea leaves

On noses, sunscreen.

On ankles, bug spray.

In backyards, chainsaws.

Curbside, moving trucks.

From car stereos, bass.strawberry plant | reading my tea leaves

After dinner, ice creams.

Before dinner, ice creams.

On necks, sweaty curls.

Parkside, ice cream trucks.

On the sidewalk, sprinkles.

At bedtime, wide eyes.

    On my mind, fruity popsicles.

Slapping my forehead, because of mosquitoes.

P.S. Your posts would work so well as a calendar.

Erin, I love these series and hope to see it turned into a book (a poetry one?) some day.
(You make me feel almost like starting a blog myself, just to see this kind of magic happening!)
