This podcast episode is really good: on Shein, fast fashion, and the racialized ways that sustainability and fashion manufacturing sometimes get talked about. https://goodbye.substack.com/p/fast-fashion-asia-labor-shein#details
Enjoying Anna’s lovely advent calendar – what a treat! Thank you.
More about the sewing machine cover please! It looks perfect and I currently have a pillowcase unartfully draped over mine.
just snipped apart the cheapy cover it came with and cut the pattern out of a piece of drop cloth. essentially one big rectangle with two little rectangles cut out and all the edges sewn up! (it’s basically a tissue box cover, with the dimensions sized for the machine!)
Was considering doing that this week! Same machine over here.
