one hanson place

one hanson place one hanson place one hanson place one hanson place it’s a funny habit: snapping pictures of beautiful things in faraway places and neglecting the spaces right under our noses. i used to be better about it, but lately i’ve gotten out of the habit. hoping having weekends off will change all that. in the meantime, a few photos of the old stones i found lovely at one hanson place, home of the brooklyn flea.

I am definitely guilty of this! Sometimes I make my way all the way home on auto-pilot and don't even really recall which route I've taken. Thank you for reminding me to stop and focus on the moment – and the beauty surrounding it!

One of my favourite lines from Alain de Botton's The Art of Travel is about this… "…Xavier de Maistre was gently nudging us to try, before taking off for distant hemispheres, to notice what we have already seen." So powerful.

I can't believe it's taken me a whole week to say how wonderful it was to meet you in person finally sweet Erin! It was so nice to talk to you both that I forgot why I was there for a minute! Tea soon please, maybe after I return from France in the end of March? Good luck with all of it and with a little time to yourself…
