my feet have funny lines on them from the way the sun has been browning them while i wear my strappy clogs on the farm. most days when i come home my feet are dusty and dirty and i feel like people in the subway are wondering how i managed to get so very grimy. my toe nail polish is chipping and i don’t have the energy or the spare moment to take it off. but there’s something about the marks of summer sandals on my feet that makes things feel right. it’s my own little reminder of the time i’ve gotten to spend outside. deep thoughts, i know.

one of my favorite things about summer is feet tan lines. there is nothing better than the feeling after you've been outside all day. xox
My favorite pair of summer sandals leave my feet with tiger-like stripes. Secretly, I like to pretend that striped is my natural skin tone.

A friend of mine has permanent tan lines from a pair of Tevas he wore 3 years ago. Seriously, it is so strange!
i love seeing the little crisscross tan lines on my feet made by my flip flops from being out in the summer. sometimes it lasts right through to december although a bit more faded. i see them and think of the times i was out and about over the summer 🙂

One summer I marched in a drum corps which consists of running around a lot for 12 hours a day out in the hot sun on a football field. Needless to say I had great sock tan lines! Your's are much cuter.
my feet after my cross country trip have flip flop marks on them:)…..but like you, i love the memories those lines bring…
