my week in objects (mostly).

March 7, 2014

five little things that made my week.

1. this laundry bag.
laundry {because it sat in a corner of our bedroom unpacked for an entire workday and no one tripped over it or even remembered it was there. slightly-less-tiny apartments have some major perks.}

2. these fleurs.
flowers {courtesy of this talented woman. full story on gardenista.}

3. this deep, dark, very nearly black dresser.
dresser {because things are shaping up over here. but please, please don’t ask me for a house tour.}

4. this new work computer.
computer {because here’s hoping my little old back will get a rest.}

5. this new-to-us dining table.
table {because it’s not at all the beaut i’m hoping to eventually find, but we got it used and super cheap and that’s good enough for now.}

other things:
last chance to win a collection of housewarming goodies .
can’t wait for tribeca (‘specially the search for general tso. yay, friends.)
getting ready to film this today. eeps.
our laundry bag (up there) is out of stock. but this one is similar.
and this one is kind of genius.
speaking of laundry
dressing is becoming a challenge. this looks helpful.
this too.
but i’d kind of rather wear a variation of this. always.
on the topic of motherhood, the mother of gardening giveaways.

things by me in other places:
black fences.
loving on my favorite old ladies, as usual.

    Glad you're already enjoying that little extra space !
    Ces fleurs me donnent envie de les peindre. Didn't know about the Violet clothespins, might order some ! Also your new table should age pretty well.

    I love the black pants for maternity wear. I'm 37 weeks and I have to tell you, wear what makes you comfortable! I refused to spend much money on maternity clothes. My suggestion is invest in a couple of strategic pieces and then if possible, make sure anything else you buy you'd wear after the baby is born. I've found my frugality has paid off–I've added some decent pieces to my wardrobe without spending too much money. Best of luck in the new place. I can't wait to see all the beautiful baby items you find =)

    The elastic band that you were with your old clothes help salvage what you already have in your closet. It's nice not to have to drop tons of money on clothes you'll only wear for a few months. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Mmm I'm committing to a new mac this week… financially painful but very necessary. Here's to better quality of work and better posture.

    All right, I won't ask for a house tour. But have I mentioned that I love house tours? So much fun for everyone!
