five little things that made my week.
1. this honey jar.
{filled up with soup.}
2. these coloring pages.
{because people are creative and good.}
3. these swatches.
{for helping me narrow choices. none of the above ended up being the answer.}
4. this torch.
{by request.}
5. this slipcover.
{for being washable.}
other things:
kids’ valentine’s march for kindness.
lady liberty as superhero. also!
375k works of art, just when we need them.

I just love your week of objects! I am always looking forward to it and am so thankful that you still keep posting it, even though you have a newborn at home. Thank you for that, and also for encouraging so many people to do what is now very important to be done. This helps to stay focussed and not to get lost in despair. Have a lovely weekend!
Here, here!
At Sea was a lot more yellow than I thought it would be!
That torch! Awesome! and great to whoever brought you the soup.
Very sweet post 🙂
Hi Erin,
This isn’t related to your post, but I wondered if you had recommendations for a simple/beautiful/well-designed alarm clock? I’m hoping to kick my iPhone out of my bedroom, but need to replace this particular function.
Thanks!
Cheers,
Nicole
That soup looks so good. Is it a squash soup? Great post!
Thai lentil!
Dear Erin,
This is my first comment on a blog post ever, but I just have to let you know that your posts are so inspirational and uplifting. After I re-read the interview with Joylynn about the forest school and looked at the great photos of happy kids and adults outdoors, I picked up my toddler son from day care and spent the next two hours in the garden putting seeds in pots. He had rosy cheeks and the most concentrated look on his face. I wouldn’t have gotten the idea without you – so thanks and congratulations on Baby Silas!

I just read “unreachable places”, lovely. But that picture…it served oddly familiar, then it hit me. It’s the Tinsley House (the formal parlor), a 1900s era living history farm in Bozeman MT, where I live. My whole family volunteered there every summer for many years. Speaking of memories…..small world.

Just in case anyone is curious (aka a history geek like me).
