haha on the tote bags. I was very disappointed that the print on my New Yorker tote (which was received the first and only year I subscribed) faded/cracked when I washed it. But then it occurred to me that the poor condition of the bag probably makes me look like a long-time reader. SCORE. A tote bag can also be a little embarrassing. I was in need of a large tote one day while wondering (and shopping). I noticed a large black tote in a store I don’t normally shop at (because it feels a little icky and cheap). The bag had the store logo printed on it in large font. BUT IT IS THE MOST USEFUL BAG. Luckily the seams are very well-done so I just turn it inside out. SCORE AGAIN.
Where did you get that nice peace flag print? I’ve been trying to find—and sometimes considering making—a cloth version to fly, but haven’t found what I’m looking for. That print version would be a nice alternative.
The peace flag print was made in limited edition by Alice Saunders of Forestbound some years ago! As for making a cloth version to fly, I turned my parents’ original 13 colonies star flag into a peace flag a few years ago without too much sewing work!

One of my two New Yorker totes also cracked and faded when I washed it! Now I won’t wash the other one (which could get nasty). Oi!
